N2  - Das Wissen in der freien Enzyklopädie Wikipedia wird von der Community zusammengetragen, wodurch in vielen kleinen Bearbeitungsschritten auch komplexe Themen kollaborativ erschlossen werden können. Dabei sind Prozesse des kollaborativen Schreibens und der kollaborativen Wissenskonstruktion von zentraler Bedeutung. Um die Evolution von Wissen in der Wikipedia nachvollziehen zu können, werden die verschiedenen inhaltlichen und nicht-inhaltlichen Bearbeitungsschritte anhand der Versionshistorie exemplarisch ausgewählter Artikel einer qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse unterzogen. Die daraus entwickelte Typisierung von Bearbeitungen erlaubt es, insbesondere vor dem Hintergrund der von der Community entwickelten Qualitätskriterien, quantitative Aussagen zu den untersuchten Artikeln und ihrer Qualität zu machen.
N2  - The knowledge contained in the free encyclopedia Wikipedia is compiled entirely by its community, with many small contributions allowing for the handling of complex topics. Processes of collaborative writing and collaborative construction of knowledge are of central importance. To be able to understand the evolution of knowledge within Wikipedia, both content-related and content-unrelated process steps (“edits”) are analyzed. This is accomplished by analysing the processing steps contents for several exemplary Wikipedia articles' using their version history. As an outcome, the resulting typology of edits allows for quantitative statements on the articles in scrutiny, in particular taking into account Wikipedia's community-developed quality criteria.
